Strawberries

ErdbeerenAnd my strawberry patch behind the house is harvested and consumed in no time. They know some things that are still growing and not others. The fennel goes down well, even if it's just the left-over stems. The parsley less, mine smells quite intense. Then the house is explored. They want to see what is different from the Dutch couple who lived in the house before me. That's how they knew about the strawberries, by the way. Not much has changed on a large scale, but the little things make people happy: three Smurfs who somehow made it to Kenya (for those who don't know: I left my smurf collection in Switzerland), the sweet dates in the kitchen and the wax crayons on the cupboard. We open a small painting studio and my pinboard fills up in no time.
